Feel calm. I have been procrastinating a lot these days. Time to shut my mouth and do more work.
I am able to procrastinate because I am the manager and nobody is supervising me. Well, I still have conscience and now I have to stop lazing around.
I will be moving to a new place. This new building is not under Time but Telekom Malaysia. I have to say goodbye to my Netlynx 4Mbps. I will try to apply for Streamyx 4Mbps or Unifi (I could see the cabling done around Taman Desa – Yes I move to a different building in Taman Desa! – I love this area).
Hope I will be getting 4Mbps soon. 1 Mbps is not sufficient for me.

I called FedEx today I and they informed me that my items will be taxed. I dealt with Royal Malaysian Customs and I do not want to beg them like I did with my network switch. Actually my items are all computer parts and non-dutiable. I have checked tariffs and RMC’s web site – yes non dutiable. The items are RAID cards
Well 1 out of 15 shipments – one box got taxed RM 386.86( WTF) the item is priced RM 700 per unit!
To avoid tax next time,
1. Order 1 Unit only
2. Make sure the item marked computer parts (easy to declare)
3. Apply MSC status company (tax free!)

This is a pain in the butt!. Fedex clearance delay. Somebody in KLIA – customs officer probably sitting on my package. I need the server parts quick. I have been getting the same parts for ages and they would not take this long. For god sake, the item is not drug, food, soil etc – computer parts! Maybe they are all on leave at the same time.

Oh Amax Wimax, please don’t do this to us, I know that you are going through growing pains. You must know downtime during 9-5 is a big no no. Your engineers should have stayed back yesterday to fix the problem.
Best Regards,
Your Loyal Customer.

I always wanted to participate in Forex trading. With 3.6 trillion transaction daily, I also want a piece of the action. Here comes el toro hehe
nope Etoro. It allows you to invest with only USD 40. This is what we call mini forex account. The software can be downloaded from their web site. It has demo and real time mode. I made a fool of myself. Invested in real trading account and lost USD 50 LOL. I am losing again as I am writing this. I also made profit earlier today. Well in forex trading you need to control your emotions. I am very emotional person and hate losing LOL. I just deposited 200 USD just to compensate my loss – yet I am losing LOL . I would never imagine this day would come. You can participate in forex by sitting in front of your computer.

I am such a fan of Nokia’s backpacker ring tone. I managed to convert the ring to to Iphone’s format. My friends laugh at me because the tone a bit ‘kiddy’ but who cares. Here is the Iphone format ( download )

Yes, the ginger pills work for me. I can control the bloat
Seems like Amax Wimax is now congested. Maybe they have more subscribers. I could only surf at night. When I turn it on during the day, page is slow loading – not like when I first subscribed. Hmmm should i go back to Celcom3g? Maybe Taman Desa towers is already at peak capacity during the day I am not too sure. I hope they fix it fast. More bandwidth needed?

I have been having upset stomach regularly for years. I must say that I have very bad habit of not chewing my food. I swallow them! I know that is very bad. Now over 30 I tend to get bloated stomach. It is pretty upsetting because my ‘tummy’ tends to make me look fat. I took one ginger pills today and farted and burped but I also get side effect like dizziness. I am not sure whether this is related to my diet (low carb) or the pill is acting on me?

I like this one from Glee
Remind me good ol’ days when I was a teenager. I used to blast music (i.e Alone by Heart) before I went to school and mom got pretty upset with that. Sorry I was in secondary 1 ( 12 y/o).
I know some of you probably think, wait a minute, that song is from the 80′s and you are not that ancient- Thank you for that. Heart was still popular in 1990′s with their hit single All I Wanna Do Is Make Love to You” (#2 U.S.) I bought or taped their old hit singles like Alone because I thought they were amazing. The lead vocals - Ann Wilson still give me chills until this day.

I went to the dentist today. I had my teeth cleaned. Excessive smoking and coffee made me flunk oral hygiene test. The advancement in dental technology really made my trip a breeze. No more long and painful trip to the dentist.
The other day at gym, I bumped into my ex roommate. He was a dentistry student back in University. My dear ex roomie is now owning 2 dental clinics in Sri Petaling and Bangsar. He offered to replace my dental filling at his clinic. I was pretty embarrassed when we were talking he kept focusing on my teeth LOL. We have not met for more ten years. The funny thing was that we stay in the same neighborhood and never noticed or bumped into each other.

High-Speed Broadband In Klang Valley Beginning This Month
KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) — Malaysians, currently among the biggest users of Yahoo!, Friendster, Facebook and blogs in Asia, can look forward to more high definition applications with the roll-out of high-speed broadband (HSBB) in the Klang Valley beginning this month.
Twenty-seven areas in the Klang Valley will be equipped with the HSBB within two years, with initial roll-out in Bangsar, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Shah Alam and Subang Jaya which are considered as the areas with highest Internet usage in the country.
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) chairman Tan Sri Khalid Ramli said the HSBB, to be rolled out by Telekom Malaysia, is expected to have a speed more than 10 megabits per second (Mbps).
While the existing 2Mbps allowed users to surf the Internet and use facilities like e-mail and YouTube, the bigger bandwidth would enable them to watch IPTV and HDTV, and gain access to advanced education online, multimedia post production and e-health, Khalid said.
By 2011, the whole Klang Valley would be covered by HSBB, including Bandar Tun Razak, Sungai Besi, Gombak and Kajang, he said at a media briefing on the National Broadband Implementation (NBI) policy.
Khalid said that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was scheduled to launch the NBI on March 24.
He said the HSBB would be expanded to Kepong, Batu, Wangsa Maju, Segambut, Damansara, Titiwangsa, Cheras and Seputih in Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Serdang, Puchong, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Klang, Selayang and Ampang by end of 2010.
Khalid said under the NBI, the government hoped to have a 50 per cent household broadband penetration by end of 2010 which could result in tangible contribution of one per cent to the country’s GDP and 135,000 new jobs this year.
As of March this year, household broadband subscriptions are at 33.2 per cent.
Khalid said there was big potential for broadband penetration in Malaysia, citing the 7.4 million 3G cellular subscriptions in the country while total broadband subscriptions stood at 2.78 million.
According to various surveys, Malaysians are the number one user of Yahoo! in Asia, number three in social network Friendster, fourth largest in terms of bloggers and 19th in Facebook, another social network.
